The river ferry CHRISTINE J is an old style timber ferry, constructed in Tuncurry NSW as the ALMA G II in 1946 she had a distinguished career transporting passengers around the Lakes and River of Forster/Tuncurry, before being relocated to the Shoalhaven River where she was lovingly restored at Greenwell Point. She now spends her days cruising at a leisurely pace from Nowra Wharf to Bangalee or Greenwell Point. Enjoying a day on the river

Shoalhaven River Tours.
Conducts regular and charter cruises on the Shoalhaven River between Nowra Wharf, Bangalee Reserve, Greenwell Point and Shoalhaven Heads. Cruise times vary from 2 to 3 hours depending on the destination. Scheduled cruises depart from Nowra Public Wharf in Wharf Road, special arrangements can be made to embark or disembark at any of these locations.There are also 3 group cruises that add that little extra to your Cruise.

  1. The Devonshire Tea Cruise. A 2.5hr cruise of your choice with Freshly Baked Scones, Cakes, Tea and Coffee served
  2. The Fish and Chips Cruise. A 3hr cruise to Greenwell Pt with Freshly Baked Scones, Tea and Coffee served on route and Freshly cooked Fish and Chips (Hamburger or Salad), served aboard at Greenwell Pt for Lunch.
  3. The Barbecue Cruise.(Summer Months Only). Cruise to Bangalee Reserve and enjoy Freshly Baked Scones, Tea and Coffee on board. At Bangalee enjoy a sumptuous BBQ. (Menu on Application)
  4. The Dinner Cruise. (Summer Months Only) Enjoy a Mystery Cruise Under the Stars on the Shoalhaven River. Bookings Only. Menu on application.
